Forbes’ Spotlight on Senior Living
Earlier this month, Forbes published a rather detailed article about continuing care retirement communities, elaborating on a handful of questions that individuals should ask before buying into a retirement community. Their questions range from financial aspects and community amenities to scheduled transportation and available levels of health care.
It is always good to see what the media is saying about senior living, because articles such as Forbes’ Eight Questions To Ask Before Buying Into A Senior Community shape the perception your prospects have before they reach your doors.

How can we encourage prospects to consider moving before age 80? If seniors take advantage of the amenities at a retirement community earlier in life they can realize a better return on their investment. In addition, the benefits are staying healthier and being socially engaged. Research indicates these are two of the most important factors that can enhance the quality of our lives as we get older.
Valeire,
If that isn’t the $64,000 question it is pretty close. How do we get a younger person to move in is what we hear from clients all the time. Accomplishing this has a lot to do with breaking the stereotype of retirement communities. But, that will be hard with this current generation of seniors because most of their parents went to nursing homes not vibrant, active, beneift rich communities. We do know one thing, the answer to this probably lies in the product itself rather than in how we promote it. Make it appealing and relevant to a younger senior and we have a chance.
This is very encouraging and informative information. Thank you
